This page explains how Clubvolare uses artificial intelligence and automated processing, what data is involved, and what limitations apply. Read this before relying on any AI-generated content in the app.
Current AI features
- Email import parsing: When you forward a booking confirmation email for itinerary import (Explorer and Pro plans), an automated system processes the email to extract structured data — booking type, date, time, location, and confirmation reference. This uses pattern recognition, not a large language model.
- AI travel assistant (where available): Certain plan tiers include an AI-powered assistant that answers travel-related questions. This feature uses Anthropic Claude, a third-party large language model, to generate responses based on context you provide.
What AI features will and will not do
The AI assistant will:
- Answer general travel questions — packing suggestions, timezone comparisons, local phrase help
- Assist with itinerary organisation and trip planning ideas
- Help interpret information already in your trip data
- Clearly label all responses as AI-generated
- Redirect visa, immigration, and legal questions to official government sources
The AI assistant will NOT:
- Provide visa or immigration advice — these are legally regulated activities in Australia and most countries
- Provide financial, tax, insurance, or investment advice
- Provide medical or health advice
- Make bookings on your behalf
- Access real-time flight, train, or transport schedules
- Access real-time pricing for accommodation or activities
- Guarantee the accuracy of any information it provides
AI accuracy and limitations
AI-generated content may be outdated, incorrect, incomplete, or contextually misapplied. You must independently verify all AI-generated information before relying on it for travel decisions — including visa requirements, health rules, entry requirements, safety conditions, transport schedules, and local laws.
Data sent to AI systems
When you use the AI assistant, the following may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response:
- Your question or message
- Relevant trip context you choose to include — destination, dates, itinerary items
- Your home timezone and language preference
We do not send your full name, email address, payment information, or passport details to AI systems. Anthropic is a US-based company — data sent to their API is processed in the United States and governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
No automated decision-making
Clubvolare does not use AI to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. All subscription, billing, and account decisions are made by humans or deterministic systems — not generative AI.
Labelling of AI content
All AI-generated content within Clubvolare is clearly labeled as AI-generated at the point of display. If you encounter AI content that is not labeled, report it to support@clubvolare.com.
Feedback on AI responses
If an AI response is harmful, offensive, misleading, or otherwise problematic, report it via Settings → Feedback or email support@clubvolare.com with the exact response and the context of your question.
Fair use
AI features are for personal, human use only — no bots, scrapers, automated tooling, resale, redistribution, or model training. We may apply invisible per-day caps, burst limits, and output-length caps to keep the service sustainable. Ordinary human use will never be affected. If usage falls outside fair use we may throttle, pause, or permanently disable AI features on your account, or in serious or repeated cases terminate the account and refund any unused subscription portion under the Australian Consumer Law. Kill-switches
We operate per-feature kill-switches and may disable any AI feature globally without notice if a provider becomes unavailable, costs spike, or safety concerns arise. We will restore the feature when safely possible.
Changes to AI features
Material changes to how AI is used will be notified via email or in-app notice with at least 14 days' notice. This disclaimer will be updated whenever AI features change.
